About Me
Hi there! I'm originally from Iowa, where I developed a deep love for the outdoors, staying active, reading, and spending time with my dog, friends, and family. I believe that our health is our greatest asset—if you're going to invest in anything, it should be in your well-being. That philosophy shapes both my personal life and my career.
I’ve worked in healthcare since 2013, working as a CNA. After I finished my undergraduate degree in Human Physiology from the University of Iowa, I worked as a clinical coordinator in an HIV/AIDS clinic. Motivated to do more for patients, I returned to school to become a nurse, eventually spending over four years—most of that time in the ICU—providing critical care.
I earned my Family Nurse Practitioner license from the University of Cincinnati and have been practicing in Primary Care for the past two years. My approach to care is rooted in prevention, education, and empowering patients to make sustainable lifestyle choices that support long-term health.
Through this blog, I hope to share insights from both my professional experience and personal journey—whether it's tips on healthy living, reflections on modern healthcare, or just everyday wellness inspiration.
